Used luxury car or new economy car?

Should I buy a 2008 range rover with 36k miles or a new economy car like a Nissan juke or Volvo 4 door car? I have only had two cars in my life and only use them to drive and see my family every other weekend. I had a Mazda B300 and then a Mazda cx7 I just got my real estate license so I want something that looks reputable for work but also good to travel in. It is just me and my partner so no need for anything to big.
