I'm a soon to be car owner! What should I get?

My budget is capped right a $8500- $10000 and I love old, classic cars. I'm in love with all old land rovers, mercedes, etc. My question is what classic old car is most reliable and won't cost A LOT to maintain besides the famous honda or toyota.
